Sermon Update

Good day to you readers!

Lately, I have been focusing on completing unfinished paintings in order to increase the items for sale on my Etsy Shop , plus the day job so, I have not had a great amount of time to devote to writing my weekly sermon. While I paint, I do think about different topics that I would like to explore once my resource of time expands. I am excited and eager to begin this blog journey and will embark as soon as I can. So, I thank you for your patience and would like to leave you with a link to one of my favorite, most inspiring and thought-provoking spiritual films, The Collective Evolution II The Human Experience. Everyone, have a fantastic weekend and Peace be with you!!

Attitude of Latitude. Flat is BORING! Get vertical!

Do you hate your life? Do you find it nearly impossible to drag yourself out of bed each day and do the whole grind? Are you totally jaded by what you see going on in the world? Are you so depressed that your loved ones are constantly saying how worried they are about you? I did and was too. And it could happen again at anytime. Life does that too us. Knocks us flat. However, I have discovered that the worst thing you can do in that position is maintain and attitude of latitude. Where you say to yourself, "Yep. Here I am again. Its just never going to get better. I'm a failure...ect" You end up perpetuating the feeling of defeat and perhaps even attempting to convince yourself that you deserve to feel so awful. Occasional depression is a natural part of life, but you don't have to let it consume you. I'm here to tell you a secret. One that I had a hard time believing myself. Your attitude is everything in this situation. Pay attention to it! It can mean the difference between staying flat and defeated or bouncing back into life swinging! I love a particular lyric from a song called, "F*cking Perfect" by P!nk. "
you're so mean
when you talk
about yourself
you were wrong

change the voices
in your head
make them like you
instead

So, even if it feels impossible, you need to get yourself vertical again! Whether you force yourself to smile for no reason, pet an animal, hold a baby, anything at all that you can do to bring the tiniest bit of light in, DO IT! Change that attitude of latitude and get LONGITUDINAL. Stand up straight, reach your arms high above your head and breath in the divine light and energy of life! It is everywhere!
